Receiving

The Receiving Center in Albuquerque opened in 2019 and provides an immediate, safe, environment for children in state custody, ages 12 and under, while investigators and placement workers identify next steps which may include kinship/relative care, resource foster homes, treatment foster care or residential treatment facilities. The facility is staffed by CYFD receiving center Client Service Aids 24-hours per day, 7 days per week.

Donations accepted by the receiving center include clothing, shoes, diapers, new toys, blankets, etc.
Monetary donations are accepted in the form of gift cards and allow staff to provide entertainment and outings for children in the receiving center.
